Well, we finished our first cutting of hay this year before the July 4th.
Which means …… its been hot & dry!!!
Dad can’t recall having ever finished up before the 4th.
By the looks of it, we’ll be harvesting by the end of this
month or the first week of August.

Dave snapped the photo below on June 27th.
The fire, located at the base of the Tobacco Roots near Pony,
started on the 24th of June and swelled to 5,157 acres before it was contained.

There were several fires burning throughout the state at the same time as the Pony fire.
One in eastern Montana ripped through Marian Hanson’s ranch near Ashland Montana.
Mrs. Marian is a dear friend who has been buying bulls from us for many years.
