Cooper Herefords was fortunate to be included on the 2016 MHA Tour Itinerary. Despite cold temps and “drizzling” rain, there was a vibrant group of cattlemen that arrived at our ranch on the evening of September 23rd. Previous stops that day included Story Herefords, Feddes Herefords and Churchill Cattle Co./L Bar W Cattle Co.  The group included many ranchers visiting from out of state, some as far away as New Zealand, Canada and Tennessee. Although the sky never altogether cleared that evening, the rain ceased and temperatures warmed a bit. Luckily we scattered a few small fire pits under the willows for folks to warm their fingers and toes around. Overall it was a really great evening spent with fantastic people. Tour participants had the opportunity to view our 2016 bull and heifer crops as well as a handful of young 2 and 3 year old cows. We hope everyone enjoyed the evening as much as our family. The tri-tip dinner was prepared by Kelly and Ryan Merkel (owners of the Iron Horse Cafe, Three Forks), wine was provided by local wine shop Vino Per Tutti, and local musician Larry Meyer entertained us with music throughout the evening.
